Activate Good's spring fundraiser



You remember our Activate Good mascots, don't you? This month, Charlie (our resident banana), Mr. Bongo (the gorilla who could), and the rest of the Activate Good crew will take you back to another time. A time of innocence. And dancing. And tacky, tacky clothes. That's right: The 1980s.

We're teaming up with Live Work Play - Raleigh for the ultimate 80s Night at Spy Raleigh on Thursday, March 1. The theme: "Valley Girls vs. Revenge of the Nerds". We want to be the most tubular and tacky dudes and dudettes at the dance.


That's where you come in. Help us reach our spring fundraising goal of $1,500 this month. Give $5, $25, $50 - Whatever you can. The more we raise, the tackier we'll be, for the amusement of all.

How tacky, you ask?
Here's just an example of what we'll wear to entertain you (and raise funds to support Activate Good!):

Help us surpass $250, and Charlie will wear 80s Jump Slacks.
Help us surpass $500, and Charlie will sport a Pink Lacoste Polo.
Help us surpass $750, and Charlie will wear 80s-style pumped up kicks.
Help us surpass $1,000, and Charlie will wear Rainbow Suspenders.
Help us surpass $1,250, and Charlie will wear a Salmon Pink RetroBlazer.
Help us surpass our goal of $1,500, and Charlie will get his revenge of the nerds on with some taped-together glasses.

Help us make volunteering viral

Activate Good is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit. We are a Raleigh-based Volunteer Center that activates volunteers to help causes in our local community. We connect individuals, groups, and companies to volunteer needs with partnering nonprofits in Wake County and surrounding areas and empower the next generation of young volunteers and community leaders through our Activate Schools initiative.

Your donations support our efforts to inspire volunteerism and serve local nonprofits who depend on volunteers to operate! HERE's HOW:

--$25 covers the cost of 1 textbook for our Leadership & Service class.
--$150 enables us to coordinate a service project for up to 30 volunteers.
--$250 provides students in our Leadership & Service class with a mini-grant to carry out a service project they designed.
--$400 enables us to serve a nonprofit partner for a year.
--$1200 enables us to train teachers and recruit students for a new participating high school in our Activate Schools program.
--$2500 enables us to support the Leadership & Service class at a new participating high school for a semester.
--$5000 enables us to maintain and update our online Volunteer Community each year.
